Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated Wednesday that it’s “unacceptable” for President Joe Biden to explain Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a “genocide”.
Biden made the classification for the primary time Tuesday.
“We think about this sort of effort to distort the state of affairs unacceptable,” Peskov responded, in response to Reuters.
“That is hardly acceptable from a president of america, a rustic that has dedicated well-known crimes in latest instances,” he added.
Biden had stated “I referred to as it genocide as a result of it’s change into clearer and clearer that Putin is simply attempting to wipe out even the thought of being Ukrainian. The proof is mounting.”
Biden’s feedback drew reward from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Tuesday, calling the feedback “true phrases of a real chief.”
“Calling issues by their names is crucial to face as much as evil,” Zelenskyy stated on Twitter. “We’re grateful for U.S. help offered thus far and we urgently want extra heavy weapons to stop additional Russian atrocities.”
