‘Riverdale’ actor sentenced to life in jail for killing mom, planning PM Trudeau assassination

A former actor on the CW sequence “Riverdale” has been sentenced to life in jail after admitting to killing his mother and planning to assassinate Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau. 

Ryan Grantham, 24, was sentenced at British Columbia Supreme Court docket in Vancouver on Tuesday. The actor can also be ineligible for parole for the following 14 years.

Grantham had beforehand pled responsible to the second-degree homicide of his 64-year-old mom Barbara Waite.

Waite was reportedly taking part in piano within the household’s Squamish, British Columbia home on March 31, 2020, when her son shot her behind the top.

Throughout a June listening to, prosecutors stated that the younger actor recorded a GoPro video within the wake of the killing and recorded his mom’s useless physique.

In a journal entry written the day of the killing, Grantham reportedly apologized to his household and stated “nobody” would perceive him.

Justice Kathleen Ker famous that Grantham was receiving counseling in jail and seemed to be bettering, in response to the CBC.
