Home Democratic Whip Katherine Clark’s daughter was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly spray-painting a monument and assaulting a police officer throughout a protest.
“I like Riley, and it is a very troublesome time within the cycle of pleasure and ache in parenting,” Clark tweeted. “This can be evaluated by the authorized system, and I’m assured in that course of.”
Riley Dowell, 23, was arrested and charged with assault with a harmful weapon, destruction or damage of private property, and harm of property by graffiti.
The Boston Police Division referred to the suspect as “Jared Dowell.” Clark has spoken up to now about how one of her children is non-binary.
Officers have been referred to as to the Parkman Bandstand Monument within the Boston Widespread round 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night about a protest.
