Practically a dozen Chinese military aircraft and three naval ships had been detected close to Taiwan on Monday, amid elevated tensions, in accordance with Taiwan’s Ministry of Nationwide Protection.
In a tweet on Monday, Taiwanese officials stated 11 plane from the Individuals’s Liberation Military, or PLA, and three vessels from the Individuals’s Liberation Military Navy, or PLAN, had been detected at 6 a.m.

It added that seven of the detected plane crossed over the median line of the Taiwan Strait, which is an unofficial buffer zone separating Taiwan from China.

That is the second consecutive day – and third day inside every week – that China has crossed over the median line of the Taiwan Strait.
On Jan. 8, dozens of Chinese aircraft and 4 ships had been detected close to Taiwan, with at the least 28 plane crossing the median line.
Following the incident on Sunday, the Individuals’s Liberation Military’s Japanese Theater Command stated in an announcement that they carried out “joint fight readiness patrols and precise fight drills” to “resolutely counter the provocative actions of exterior forces and Taiwan independence separatist forces.”
As for the incident on Monday, no assertion from China had been made.

Chinese language President Xi Jinping advised President Biden on the November G20 summit in Bali that the Taiwan query was the “very core of China’s core pursuits” and the “first crimson line” in bilateral ties.
