China’s first domestically constructed plane to make its maiden business flight on Might 28

China’s first indigenously constructed passenger plane C919 is scheduled to make its maiden business flight on Sunday, a media report stated on Friday. State-owned China Eastern Airlines (CEA), the preliminary buyer, will launch the airplane’s first business flight on Might 28 from Shanghai to Beijing, state-run CGTN TV reported.

The C919 is developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), and it was granted a kind certificates by the Civil Aviation Administration of China final September.

CEA performed a 100-hour verification flight for its first C919 plane on December 26, 2022, to confirm and make sure the plane’s operational security.
Thus far, over 1,200 C919 jetliners have been ordered, in keeping with COMAC.

In keeping with estimates, China had 6,795 civil plane in 2020, principally that of Boeing and Airbus.

Officers say the entry of Chinese language plane might scale back the reliance on Boeing and Airbus and will pose a contest to them within the worldwide civil aviation market.
