B.C. man hospitalized on twenty fourth day of starvation strike to protest old-growth logging

NANAIMO, B.C. – A gaggle protesting old-growth logging in British Columbia says considered one of its members has been hospitalized on the twenty fourth day of a starvation strike.

Save Previous Development says Howard Breen’s “death-watch staff” famous he was experiencing blurred imaginative and prescient, lack of steadiness, again ache across the kidneys and potential coronary heart issues.

It says considered one of Breen’s daughters, who’s a nurse, assessed him at his dwelling in Nanaimo and referred to as an ambulance.

Breen mentioned Saturday that he’ll proceed his protest till Forests Minister Katrine Conroy agrees to a recorded Zoom assembly that may be accessible to the general public.

Conroy has mentioned in a press release that she spoke with Breen and fellow starvation striker Brent Eichler on Friday and instructed them to guard their well being whereas the province works to guard old-growth forests.

Save Previous Development says in a launch that Eichler started his protest 31 days in the past.
