As for Ninja Kamui, it appears like old-school anime at its old-schoolest, with ninjas, robots, and, most of all, vengeance:

“Ninja Kamui follows Joe Higan who’s a Nukenin – a former ninja who escaped his clan and is hiding from his violent previous in rural America together with his household,” a synopsis offered by Grownup Swim reads partially. “One evening, he’s ambushed by a crew of assassins from his former group who precise a bloody retribution on Joe and his household for betraying their historical code. Rising from his seeming “loss of life,” Joe will re-emerge as his former self – Ninja Kamui – to avenge his household and mates. Kamui is a twenty first century ninja, a shadowy anachronism who pits his historical abilities towards high-tech weaponry with brutal finesse. He should face off towards skilled assassins, fight cyborgs, and rival ninjas to deliver down the very clan that made him.”
That is hardly the primary time Grownup Swim (and its Toonami programming block) have dipped its toes into producing its personal anime sequence; in addition to the latest Fena: Pirate Princess, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, and Shenmue the Animation present, an adaptation of Uzumaki and the all-new and really enigmatic Housing Advanced C, each of that are set to premiere this 12 months.

As for R&M:TA and Ninja Kamui, no release dates have been announced, of course. However, we do know the Rick & Morty anime will be 10 full episodes, just like a normal season of R&M, and animated by Telecom Animation Film, who did the two shorts. Ninja Kamui, meanwhile, will be produced by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, with character designs from Batman: Ninja’s Takeshi Okazaki.
