6.5-magnitude earthquake shakes Ecuador; at the least 1 killed

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake shook an island area of Ecuador on Saturday, inflicting inhabitants to hurry out of buildings. As per reviews, at the least one individual was killed and injury to buildings have been brought on.
Social media customers reported damages to buildings. The quake had an epicenter 29 kilometers (18.02 miles) from town of Balao within the province of Guayas.
Authorities stated the earthquake didn’t seem prone to generate a tsunami.
State-run oil firm Petroecuador stated there have been no reviews of harm at any amenities and “that operations proceed usually”.
